Comment:  We need a way to educate students about and connect students with the various student support services when they reach campus.  This should occur in the welcoming and orientation phase.

Comment:  We need a way to connect to and partner with the campus-wide student support system. We need to create a support network and collaborate for students who are struggling in more than one way.

Comment:  The current budget structure is a barrier to collaboration, even across students support services centers.

Comment:  We should look at a campus-wide approach for advising and coaching.  We do this in pockets of areas, but we really should view this at the campus level. We do not want to get in the way of what is going on in the departments and colleges, but we need a unified approach.

Comment:  We are concerned that we do not have student orientation.  Research exists that correlates orientation with retention and student success.

Comment:  We need a way to connect faculty with student support community.  There is a concern that faculty may not always know what is going on with students who are struggling and how to work together to increase the level of success for those students.

Comment:  There has been a lot of change on campus where leadership who began the change efforts have left.  This has create gaps in understanding the reasons for change and the progress of those changes.

Comment:  We need to build a student success center and work collaboratively as a community with an approach based on research-supported best practices.
