Comment:  Keep institutes in sight during this process

Comment:  Interdisciplinarity is a key

Comment:  Don鈥檛 forget research faculty.  They can add to instructional strength

Comment:  Increase integration of institutes in the campus.  We need for flexibility.

Comment:  Organization of knowledge has changed over the years鈥攍ook at the rise neuroscience, cognitive science, sustainability science.  As a result, we should abolish disciplinary departments and organize around problems.

Comment:  Institutes should be strengthened as heart of interdisciplinary.

Comment:  Institutes should be able to grant tenure.

Comment:  Look at other universities for good ideas.

Comment:  make sure we are thinking about the publics we serve.

Comment:  Enable interdisciplinary teaching

Comment:  Outreach鈥攎ake sure people are rewarded.

Comment:  Work on internationalization, including bureaucratic barriers.

Comment:  Recognize the different amount of resources needed for different kinds of teaching.  It is not just a question of counting students in seats.  Some classes require different kinds of funding.  Pay attention to costs at local level of teaching.

Comment:  Make sure changes are viable for our students.

Comment:  Look to companies such as Google and Amazon to see what they want from graduates.

Comment:  Examine internships as a key to success for students.

Comment:  We need information/technology literacy so that students can sift through all the information in the world.

Comment:  Build up undergraduate research.

Comment:  Build conjoint classes (say, environmental science and environmental philosophy offered as linked classes.

Comment:  Need more internal awards for research.

Comment:  Stop talking about CU as a low resource university.  Fix it!

Comment:  Expand offering of university into areas such as public policy and health policy.
