Rocky Mountain AIAA honors two ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· aerospace professors

The of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is recognizing two University of Colorado Boulder aerospace faculty members with 2020 awards.

Assistant Professor Allie Anderson is being honored as Young Professional Engineer of the Year and Professor Hanspeter Schaub has been named Collegiate Educator of the Year.

Anderson is being recognized in particular for her work in aerospace biomedical engineering and human physiology. For Schaub, the award praises his dedication to leveraging technology to enrich the learning environment of students.

The AIAA program was established to recognize Rocky Mountain Section members’ achievements and service to the aeronautics, astronautics, and aerospace industry. Nominees were reviewed by a committee of peer scientists and engineers.

Anderson joined the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences as a full time faculty member in 2017. Schaub has been part of the department since 2007.
