Two aerospace students land 2021 Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowships

Congratulation to Smead Aerospace PhD students Yashica Khatri and Jamie Voros for earning

The program, open to students worldwide, recognizes up to 35 women annually pursuing doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. It seeks to expand the number of women in the aerospace industry to reach gender equity.

Khatri is pursuing her PhD in the astrodynamics and satellite navigation focus area under the leadership of Professor Dan Scheeres. Voros is working on her PhD in bioastronautics with Assistant Professor Torin Clark.

Zonta International is a global organization of professionals empowering women through service and advocacy. The Fellowship was established in 1938 in honor of famed pilot and Zonta member, Amelia Earhart.
