First and foremost in our consideration is your ability to successfully complete the academic requirements of the program. Students must demonstrate a record of academic success at the undergraduate level along with significant quantitative skill. We assess your academic abilities through a thorough review of your undergraduate record, test scores, and graduate record (if applicable).
Undergraduate Record
Applicants must have completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree at a regionally accredited institution. In addition to the cumulative grade point average, we also consider the academic caliber of the institution awarding the degree and the rigor of the undergraduate.
No specific undergraduate coursework or degree is required for admission to the MBA program. Although there are no prerequisites for the program, we recommend college algebra or calculus, statistics microeconomics, and principles of accounting as preparation for non-business majors.
Standardized Test Scores (GMAT or GRE)
The admissions committee takesÌýa holistic approach to reviewing applications. A graduate level exam score is required for the application. Leeds will offer a limited number of exam waivers for the 2022 application cycle. All application materials must be complete and the application must be submitted to have the waiver request reviewed. Applicants not approved for a waiver will be required to submit an exam score for their application to move forward in the evaluation process.ÌýÌýNOTE: ÌýAn exam score is required to be considered for special/namedÌýscholarship awards.
TheÌýÌýandÌýÌýare other indicators of academic competitiveness. In particular these exams are an objective measure of your verbal, quantitative and writing skills and are a significant predictor of success in an MBA program.
Graduate Coursework
Completed graduate-level courses or degrees are also considered a part of your cumulative academic record. Transcripts from any graduate course work should also be submitted for consideration.
Note: The University of Colorado Boulder does not issue duplicate degrees; therefore, applicants who have already earned an MBA degree are not eligible for admission.
