This past May, Larry Bell, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Global Strategic Initiatives, accepted the President鈥檚 鈥淓鈥 Award for Exports on behalf of the University Colorado Boulder. The President鈥檚 鈥淓鈥 Award is presented by the United States Department of Commerce to persons and organizations that make significant contributions to the expansion of the export trade of the United States. The award was presented by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, who cited the contribution of Boulder鈥檚 international students to employment growth at the university and strengthening the economy.

鈥淏ell pointed out that international education is the seventh largest export industry in the U.S. At 兔子先生传媒文化作品, 3,079 international students were enrolled in 2016鈥17, up from 1,643 five years earlier.
