MetroLab Summit
MetroLab — a national network of 40 city-university partnerships focused on urban innovation — is holding its annual summit in Boulder Sept. 19-20, 2019. The University of Colorado Boulder, led by the Community Engagement, Design and Research Center (CEDaR ) and the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD), are co-hosting the event with the city of Boulder.
This national convening of city-university partnerships brings together leaders from local governments, universities, industry and nonprofits and is an opportunity to share, discuss and present on the impact of data, analytics, technology and design on local government.
ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· has entered into MetroLab MOU’s with the cities of Denver, Boulder, and Longmont as well as Boulder County, and a number of research projects have been initiated under these MOUs. Among other workshops, CEDaR is sponsoring a roundtable, "Climate change and research needs of local governments: the Colorado experience," which will provide an opportunity to discuss city research priorities related to climate change and climate change research partnerships that include city staff and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· researchers.
