As we begin the 2021/22 academic year, the Center for Teaching & Learning is pleased to announce several initiatives. We are very pleased to welcome the ASSETT team to the CTL; ASSETT鈥檚 mission will continue in its support Arts & Science personnel, but the new collaboration will allow both partners to enhance their programming. Over the past month, the CTL hosted its first Equitable Teaching Conference, launched micro-credential programs in Just and Equitable Teaching 听and in Teaching International Students (in partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Education), began offering asynchronous courses on innovative teaching, and, in collaboration with the University Libraries, became a founding partner of , an initiative听from听听that was created in direct response to the challenges posed to higher education by the coronavirus pandemic. Later this month, in coordination with several campus partners, we will support a new Online Community of Practice. These initiatives complement the CTL鈥檚 nearly 100 fall 2021 semester events and programs, such as the .
As a networked hub, the CTL is committed to working collaboratively with educators across campus to promote effective and evidence-based practices. Our ever-growing online repository of teaching resources have been developed with campus partners. The stories section on our website includes the insights and experiences of instructors from across our campus. If you would like to share something that has worked well with the campus community, please feel free to contact us. We are likewise happy to promote events and programs related to teaching.听听

CTL micro-credentials听offer 兔子先生传媒文化作品 instructors opportunities to engage in sustained inquiry and skill-building around a teaching topic. Micro-credentials are open to tenured and tenure-track听faculty,听instructors听of all levels,听lecturers,听postdoctoral scholars,听graduate students, and听teaching staff.听
Online Pedagogy Community of Practice (OCoP)
OCoP Mission:听This community of practice will听amplify exemplary work already happening听across campus, from training and workshops to innovative course design and student-centered pedagogy. But its most important goal will be to听create a space for dialogue that builds trusted relationships听among collaborators by sharing effective strategies and practices, encountering challenges with empathy, and facing change with community. This is not 鈥渏ust another meeting鈥 - this is a network of trusted collaborators invested in doing what we do, better.听

Our partnership with Times Higher Education (THE) will provide a platform for us to showcase the teaching talent within our university and promote our expertise to a global community of like-minded professionals. Digital Accessibility
鈥淭he Digital Accessibility Office (DAO) is part of the Office of Integrity, Safety and Compliance. Our team works closely with faculty, staff, and students to improve the accessibility of digital environments (e.g., Canvas) for people with disabilities. We do this by providing presentations, training, and one-on-one consultations to the campus community. We also provide accessibility testing of digital tools used on campus.
