We are excited to welcomeÌý as our newest member of the Executive Board! Tanaya is an enrolled member of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe,Ìýwho was raised on the Southern Ute reservation in Ignacio, CO.ÌýHer background also includes Southern Ute, Pyramid Lake Paiute, Diné, and Black heritages. AÌýpoet, writer, artist, andÌýthe Director of the CU Upward Bound Program, Tanaya is a tireless advocate for Native American and Indigenous students and issues on campus and beyond. Tanaya was also to serve on the jury for theÌý2021 .ÌýThe international jury is composed of esteemed authors who select finalists based on literary merit alone. Congratulations and welcome, Tanaya!
