Irene González-Ceballos is currently working on her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Girona, Spain, under the guidance of D. Moisès Esteban-Guitart. She previously obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Girona and a Master's degree in educational psychology from University of Barcelona, Spain. Her research focuses on the analysis of teaching and learning processes through strategies of contextualization and educational personalization that connect social, educational, and community contexts. Over the past few years, she has concentrated on investigating the educational pathways of young people, paying particular attention to the phenomenon of Early School Leaving. Her approach to this issue is rooted in a strong commitment to social justice, exploring the underlying factors that lead to school dropout and advocating for interventions that address the inequities in the education system. Currently, she is a visiting scholar at the Renée Crown Wellness Institute, where she collaborates on projects related to educational equity and youth development, further expanding her research on the intersections between education, well-being, and social justice.
