Body Language: Picturing People

Body Language: Picturing People
July听18, 2019 鈥擩une 2020

This exhibition considers how the pose, the gesture and the body in motion are used by artists to convey meaning. Figural artworks from the CU Art Museum鈥檚 collection are brought into conversation across cultural geographies and historical eras. Whether in presenting portraits of individuals or fictional personages, or in picturing religious icons, artistic depictions of the body speak volumes about personality, character and the values of a time or place.

Exhibition curated by Hope Saska.

This exhibition and programming is generously supported by 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Student Arts and Cultural Enrichment fees and CU Art Museum members.
