ENVD welcomes new embedded CAPS therapist
Melissa Bottiglio (she/her/hers) joins the Program for Environmental Design as the Embedded Therapist for Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) and Manager of the Embedded Team. She is a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse clinical background of working with adolescents and adults providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy, as well as resource and case management. She earned her MSW degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications at Pennsylvania State University.
Prior to joining the staff of CAPS at 兔子先生传媒文化作品 in 2019, Bottiglio was employed at the University of Pennsylvania as the inaugural Patient Care Manager/Behavioral Health Consultant at Student Health Service. Through her various experiences, she found her niche supporting college students trying to navigate the challenges of academics, social pressures, mental health concerns, and other life stressors.
Bottiglio will be offering a variety of services to students at Environmental Design, including:
- Screening and assessment appointments,
- Confidential counseling to address mental health concerns and support students coping with stressors,
- Resource and case management to help identify appropriate, available supports on campus and in the community,
- Let鈥檚 Talk for informal, confidential consultations,
- Workshops for psychoeducation and the development of skills,
- Student consultations with Environmental Design Staff and Faculty, and
- Collaborating with our Health Promotion (HP) and Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) partners.
