Global Sustainability Scholars program is a paid, three-summer international research experience for undergraduates committed to solving sustainability issues.
The Global Sustainability Scholars program brings the brightest undergraduate students from under-represented groups to work across cultures, borders and disciplines.

The GSS program is affiliated with the University of Colorado at Boulder, targeted to underrepresented students who are interested in building careers in sustainability fields. GSS offers students a three-year summer experience. During the three summers students will travel abroad (while locations are yet to be determined, they will likely consist in European countries), students will learn about sustainability issues and conduct research, and they will build their professional network. GSS will cover airfare, lodging, and a stipend for students ($550 per week in the first year). The first cohort of GSS students will join the Program in June 24 - August 2 2019 and will focus on the links between water, energy, and food in urban areas.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must have started their sophomore year at an accredited, four-year university or college in the United States, and they must be studying and interested in sustainability issues (including, but not limited to, Environmental Studies, Environmental Design, Biology, Engineering and other STEM fields, Anthropology, and Communications). At this time, they are not accepting foreign students, and all applicants should be U.S. citizens who can travel abroad. Students will need to submit transcripts and 2 reference letters.
