Chancellor's Employee of the Year Award

The Chancellor recognizes that University of Colorado Boulder (兔子先生传媒文化作品) employees are valuable contributors to 兔子先生传媒文化作品鈥檚 mission, vision, and strategic imperatives. The Chancellor鈥檚 Employee of the Year Award (EOY) will be presented every fall to 兔子先生传媒文化作品 staff in recognition of and appreciation for exceptional job performance and distinguished contributions to the campus community.

Eligibility

All eligible 兔子先生传媒文化作品 classified and university staff may be nominated for this award. University Officers (i.e. Deans, Associate Vice Chancellors, and above)聽are not eligible for this award.
Nominees must have been employed by UCB for at least three years (to the day)聽by the nomination deadline.
Nominees must not have received any corrective and/or disciplinary actions within the last five years.
Employees can only receive this award once during their campus career.

Criteria

Nominations should address the following criteria:

Outstanding job performance
- Demonstrates consistently outstanding performance in all areas of his/her job.
- Incorporates ethical practices and behaviors in all areas of their job.
Inspired Leadership
- Leads with integrity and in a way that contributes constructively to the department or聽campus聽mission.
- Identifies and addresses challenges that arise honestly, thoughtfully and ethically.
- Intentionally integrates聽diversity, equity, and inclusion into work practices.聽
Extraordinary service to unit, department,聽campus, or surrounding community聽
- Supports the unit, department,聽campus, and/or surrounding community in unique ways beyond the employee鈥檚 job responsibilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Supports co-workers.
- Improves department/division/unit morale.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
- Consistently exhibits a positive attitude and contributes ideas and solutions.聽

Nominations

Nominations may be submitted by any member of the campus community (staff, faculty or student) who has firsthand knowledge about the nominee.聽Nominations should be submitted using the online nomination form. Each nominee should have:

One primary nomination submission
Two additional supporting submissions by individuals other than the primary nominator

At least one of the submissions must be from the nominee鈥檚 direct supervisor

Awards and Ceremony

The recognition award generally includes $2,000 (after tax) and a commemorative keepsake. Recipients of this award will be honored at a private reception with the Chancellor and may invite a limited number of guests.

Who can be nominated for this award?

聽Regular, permanent 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Classified and University staff are eligible for the award. Faculty, Professional Research Associates, Retirees, student staff, and other temporary employees do not meet the eligibility requirements. When are nominations due? When is the award ceremony for selected staff?

The Call for Nominations is posted in 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Today each year about two weeks after the Fall academic year begins, and nominations are due near the end of September/beginning of October.
The Chancellor鈥檚 Employee of the Year ceremony is typically hosted near the beginning of December each year.

Who serves on the selection committee?

This Committee is co-chaired by the Chancellor鈥檚 Office 补苍诲听Department of Human Resources, and includes representatives from each Vice Chancellor's division.
