Meet Kazoo!
Dear Colleague,
The Kazoo online recognition platform, recently acquired by WorkTango, is now available to all eligible users and you can start using it right away to recognize staff in your department and across campus. The platform is accessible anytime by going to or using the Kazoo app on iOS or Android.聽
If this is your first time logging in, send your first recognition to someone who has recently exemplified integrity, inclusive excellence, innovation, collaboration, or good communication. If you are a supervisor, send specific and timely words of appreciation to your direct reports. The more of us who send recognition to others, the more visible our successes become.
To log in:聽

- Log in with your IdentiKey
To send recognition:聽
- Click on the 鈥淪end Recognition鈥 button on the top of the Activity Feed.聽
- Search for recipients by typing their name in the recipients field.聽
- Type your recognition message.
- Assign a points per person value.聽Your points to send balance is available on the right side in the 鈥淵our Wallet鈥 tile.
- Complete the remainder of the form and select 鈥淪end Recognition.鈥澛
You can also give any聽post a聽"High Five" and add 5 reward points to it.聽
Tips to give effective ACTS of recognition:聽
- Appropriate: Public recognitions sent through Kazoo will be visible on the department and division鈥檚 Kazoo feed for all users within that group. Kazoo also allows a private recognition setting that is viewable only by the recipient of recognition.聽聽
- Consistent: Over time, consistent recognition creates a culture of appreciation and connection.聽
- Timely: Don鈥檛 wait until the end of the month or quarter.聽 Recognize in the moment to ensure the acknowledgment is connected to positive behavior.
- Specific: Give detail! What did the employee do that is deserving of recognition, and what was the positive impact?聽聽
