Earlier today, the campus announced in 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Today that the university will celebrate Juneteenth as a designated state holiday. As such, 兔子先生传媒文化作品 will offer Juneteenth as a paid personal observance day for all qualifying faculty and staff.
Below is additional guidance regarding the use and tracking of the floating holiday:聽
- Leave-eligible employees must use the聽personal observance day (floating holiday) for the 2022 fiscal year by Dec. 31, 2022.聽
- In the months ahead, the four CU campuses and the university鈥檚 system office will determine how to implement this additional state holiday in their academic calendars. Details on a personal day of observance or Juneteenth for fiscal year 2023 will be forthcoming.
- Employees will request the personal observance day in advance as they do for a vacation day, by entering the earnings code Personal Observance Day in聽My Leave. This code will be available beginning Thursday, May 5.
- Employees who leave the university at any time during the year will be able to use the personal observance day before they depart. The day would not be paid out if an employee does not take it.
- Employees should work with their supervisor to request the time off for the personal observance day.聽
