Check out the Essay Contest!
Located in Norlin Library's Underground West Gallery on the first floor, the exhibit听Waging Peace in Vietnam: U.S. Soldiers and Veterans Who Opposed the War听is available for viewing. As part of the exhibit events, an essay contest is听being hosted that requires students to write a 500-650 word essay that reflects听on the exhibit. Famous photojournalist Nick Ut, known听for his photograph听"The Napalm Girl," will be selecting the winner of the听contest. The winner of the contest will receive a $500 prize! The deadline is December 13th, so make sure to submit your essays to Linda.Yarr@colorado.edu by then.听
Events Being Held
In addition to the essay writing contest, a number of events from October 30th to December 13th听relating听to the exhibit will take place. A documentary, talks, panel discussions, and other events will be held in honor of the exhibit.
