- Deloitte and the University of Colorado Boulder a new Climate Innovation Collaboratory to translate cutting-edge climate research and data into meaningful climate solutions for federal, state and local government agencies and communities.
- The University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado State University Pueblo will partner on a research study to investigate whether loaning laptops improves graduation rates and other academic performance indicators for first year students with unmet financial need.
- The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), established in May 2020, continues to support faculty, instructors and graduate students across campus through classroom-focused programming. In its initial year, the CTL supported over 3400 educators through more than 250 events and trainings during the last academic year.
- Any athlete has the option to participate in ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ·'s Buffs With a Brand program, which was officially announced in June 2020 and began last August. The nearly 20 Buffs who took part in the pilot year met for sessions—over Zoom because of COVID-19 restrictions—for around two hours each month. The first hour was often spent on lessons in business fundamentals from Erick Mueller, executive director for the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, followed by entrepreneurship group sessions and workshops highlighted by guest speakers.

- In May, approximately 20 Buffs student-athletes wrapped up the inaugural year of "Buffs With a Brand," a groundbreaking program designed to help them maximize their personal brands. The student-athletes finished the year by presenting final projects that consisted of either a compilation of the information and skills they developed over the year, or a "Shark Tank"-style presentation of a "business" they created in the class.
- The latest Creative Distillation podcast delivers a spirited discussion on Hoosier state sours and the unorthodox actions entrepreneurs take to address organizational challenges. Creative Distillation is a podcast co-hosted by Associate Professor Jeff York, Research Director, and Instructor Brad Werner, Teaching Director for the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. Each episode distills academic research on entrepreneurship into actionable insights.
- Entrepreneurs and startups are increasingly turning to digital platforms nowadays, whether it is about creating a new platform (think Snapchat or TikTok), or providing product offerings and soliciting ideas on an existing platform. So what can a platform owner do to orchestrate the value creation activities of autonomous business partners (in thousands and millions) that are critical to the vibrancy and success of a platform? This question was the focus of a research paper coauthored by Leeds School’s Strategy & Entrepreneurship professor Tony Tong.
- Among 30 distinguished academics, clinicians, consultants and authors, Jeffrey Nytch—director of the College of Music’s Entrepreneurship Center for Music and associate professor of composition—has joined the Yamaha Master Educator Collective’s newly-launched Music Business and Entrepreneurship group.
- It’s hard to imagine a teenager who could resist exploring mechanical engineering after learning about Endoculus, the small device developed by ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· Professor Mark Rentschler and student researchers in his lab that can navigate the human gastrointestinal system with ease and may someday help doctors care for their patients. Futurum helped translate Rentschler’s complex research into easy-to-digest (no pun intended) content that teachers can incorporate into their lesson plans and share with their students.
