About Prof. Goodman:

Nan听Goodman is the author of three books on early American law and literature:听The Puritan Cosmopolis:听The Law of Nations and the Early American Imagination听(Oxford UP, 2018);听Banished: Common Law and the Rhetoric of Social Exclusion in Early New England听(University of Pennsylvania Press, 2012); and听Shifting the Blame:听Literature, Law, and the Theory of Accidents in Nineteenth-Century America听(Princeton UP 1998, Routledge, 2000). She is the co-editor of two volumes,听The Routledge Research Companion to Law and Humanities in Nineteenth-Century America, (Routledge, 2017)听and The Turn Around Religion in America: Literature, Culture (Ashgate, 2011) and the editor of two special issues of听English Language Notes:听Comparative and Critical Mysticisms,听Special Issue, English Language Notes,听56.1 (2018) and听Juris-dictions听48.2 (2010).听She has written many essays on early American literature and issues related to law and the humanities.听She teaches classes on early American literature, law and literature, and Jewish Studies.听She was the Director of the Program in Jewish Studies at 兔子先生传媒文化作品 from 2015 - 2019.听

Early modern Jewry, history of the Covenant, Turkish-Jewish history and culture, varieties of Jewish experience
