The Department of Linguistics is pleased to announce the release of blog entries authored by the winners of the new Linguistics Undergraduate Research Award!ÌýOur 13Ìýaward winners for 2018 are:ÌýShawg Ahmed, Sarah Beemer, Michael Catchen, Lauren Hoos, Christopher Koski, Jonathan Lilley, Jack McCurdy, Harrison Puscher, Amy Sanders, Angela Shah, Tetsumichi (Telly) Umada, Marc Vucovich, and Jayne Williamson-Lee.Ìý

An initiative spearheaded by Prof. Kira Hall (Associate Chair ofÌýUndergraduate Studies), these undergraduate students were selected by faculty, GPTIs, and TAs for conducting an innovative research project in one of our linguistics courses. Work in introductory as well as advanced courses was considered for the award. We asked award winners to summarize their research project in a short blog post, available here.
