CeramicSpeed capstone design project brings success at Eurobike 2019
CeramicSpeed capstone design team presents at the 2018 Design Expo to Chip, 兔子先生传媒文化作品's costumed mascot.
In 2018, CeramicSpeed stole the show at Eurobike, an international bicycle trade fair held annually since 1991. They brought with them their Driven drivetrain that they claimed to be 99% efficient. This year, the team is back with a telescoping, rotating version of the drivetrain that they say works with full suspension mountain bikes. And thanks to 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Department of Mechanical Engineering students, they also brought along a prototype version on a road bike that shifts.
Both efficiency and shifting mechanisms were born out of Department of Mechanical Engineering 2018 and 2019 CeramicSpeed undergraduate capstone design teams. The students' hard work paid off, taking the Driven mountain bike drivetrain one step closer toward reality.
Past mechanical engineering students like Alex Rosenberry, who was part of the CeramicSpeed senior design team in 2018, has now gone on to work as an R&D Specialist for CeramicSpeed.
