Notice of Academic Standing – Academic Warning Continuation (Targeted Message)

Who Received This Email?
We sent this email on Thursday, May 16, 2024, to undergraduate students who will continue on academic warning for one additional semester.

Dear [first],

Your academic record has been carefully reviewed following the posting of grades for the Spring 2024 semester. You have not yet met the required 2.000 cumulative CU GPA minimum while on academic warning. However, you did earn at least a 2.300 semester GPA, therefore, you will continue on academic warning for one additional semester.

Academic warning is serious but recoverable if you take the appropriate actions. For more information, view ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Ʒ’s academic standing requirements.

What Happens on Academic Warning?

A registration hold related to your academic warning status has been placed on your record.

As a reminder, your unofficial transcript will show that you are on academic warning, but this will not appear on your official transcript. Additionally, you are still eligible to enroll in classes as long as you have resolved your hold(s).

If you improve your cumulative CU GPA to 2.000 by the end of your next semester of enrollment, you will return to good standing. Students who do not improve their cumulative CU GPA to a 2.000 in their next fall or spring semester of enrollment will be placed on academic suspension. Students can use summer to return to good standing, but summer enrollment that negatively impacts GPA will not result in academic suspension.

Federal regulations require students to make satisfactory academic progress in a program of study to be eligible for financial aid. For additional information, see the webpage.
