- Victor M. Bright of the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering will deliver his Distinguished Research Lecture 鈥淢icroscale Sensors and Machines鈥 virtually on Tuesday, November 2 from 4鈥5 p.m.
- The UAE Space Agency is embarking on a new space mission in collaboration with Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at 兔子先生传媒文化作品. The mission will build on the success of the UAE鈥檚 ongoing Emirates Mars Mission to visit a much more ambitious target: the asteroid belt.
- The Building Energy Smart Technologies (BEST) Center is a new, five-year multi-university initiative funded by the National Science Foundation to advance sustainable building projects ranging from HVAC manufacturing, to smart glazing for windows, building controls, insulation, as well as solar installations.
- Researchers at 兔子先生传媒文化作品 will take part in a $25M effort to study a natural resource that鈥檚 becoming increasingly in demand: the radio frequency spectrum. SpectrumX will bring together experts from 29 organizations to transform the landscape of spectrum research, education, collaboration and management.

- 兔子先生传媒文化作品 has received a $2 million gift from The Anschutz Foundation to support the university鈥檚 diverse research in aerospace and national defense. The effort dovetails with a new research partnership between the CU system and the U.S. Space Force that was announced Aug. 20.
- Season 2 of Buff Innovator Insights, a podcast from the Research & Innovation Office, continues on August 26 and September 2 with episodes featuring Heather Reed and Pete Withnell of LASP and the Emirates Mars Mission, and Dr. John Crimaldi of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering.
- The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) invites faculty new to the university鈥檚 creative work, research and scholarly community to join the 2021 Principal Investigator (PI) Academy cohort. A virtual kickoff webinar will take place on Thursday, September 2.
- Rebecca Maloy of the College of Music and Roy Parker of Biochemistry and the BioFrontiers Institute have been selected to receive 2021-2022 Distinguished Research Lectureships.
