- Welcome to Fall semester!  This past year was like no other. As we look ahead to another academic year, we are preparing ourselves and working to drive the university forward.  We would like to reiterate our commitment to helping shape ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· to be a better place for all staff everyday.Â
- What will Winter Break look like this year? Winter break will run from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. This includes three university holidays on three of the five weekdays during the break. The remaining two days of the break will require using two days of
- Dear Staff, Human Resources and Staff Council have received inquiries and comments about the recently announced winter break. Some have expressed gratitude and others have expressed concern about the intention and implications of offering a
- The candidates made their cases and staff cast their ballots. The Elections Committee verified the outcomes and presented them to the full Council for a vote of approval. The results are now official. Staff Council is proud to announce the winners
- We mourn the lives lost from our community on March 22nd. The impacts of this violence extend beyond those who lost their lives that day. All of us in the CU, Boulder, and greater Front Range communities have been affected. We are each still grieving. Our community is still grieving. It’s going to take a long time to work through this grief. You matter on this campus; in a time when it feels challenging to take a break away from your day-to-day responsibilities, this is a reminder we have resources and a community of staff to support you at any time.
- As we continue to push forward in our transparency and open conversation, we want to bring to light the following individuals who have transitioned to new officer roles to support Staff Council initiatives for the remainder of the 2020-2021 academic year.
- Boulder Campus Staff Council elections are officially in progress! Every spring you have the opportunity to elect ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· staff members interested in representing your voice. Voting for Staff Council is one way to ensure you are well-represented.
- Child care is foundational to our economy. Without it, many parents cannot work or reach their career potential. As child care programs rapidly closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the degree to which work is enabled by child care became obvious, particularly for the large percentage of employees parenting a child while working remotely.
- The Boulder Campus Staff Council January 13, 2021 meeting yielded a robust discussion of the diverse views of our community as brought forth by our representative body. The Resolution was voted on, and approved by, the majority of the Council.
- Last November, Staff Council members voted to create the new Inclusive Practices for Blood Donations (IPBD) Committee. The committee aims to make donating blood at CU more welcoming to people of all identities.
