Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs!

This training provides new Student Affairs employees with useful information about the division, policies, ways to stay engaged and resources for staff. There will be opportunities to ask questions and connect with other new staff members. New staff are expected to attend the New Employee Orientation session closest to their start date.  

New Employee Orientation is a quarterly, full day program from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Attendees can expect a light breakfast and lunch to be served during the program and each attendee will receive a Student Affairs t-shirt. 

What we will cover during the orientation: 

  • Welcome and introductions 
  • Student Affairs division overview 
  • Who are our students? 
  • Working with diverse populations 
  • Red folder and supporting students in distress 
  • Compliance and policies 
  • Getting involved, staying engaged, resources 
  • Closing Activity
