This year, students are able to select their own move-in dates and times. There will be a variety of move-in slots available for each residence hall throughout the five-day window. This schedule will help reduce the number of students checking in at their residence hall at each time.

Additionally, students have the option to bring personal belongings to their residence hall during designated Drop Off Days. Occurring Aug. 10 and 13, this will also help expedite the move-in process.

Parking

Faculty and staff should plan for parking closures and impacts from Sunday, Aug. 15, through Thursday, Aug. 19. With increased traffic around Boulder during move-in, parking closures help create a more efficient move-in experience for new students and families by limiting the amount of vehicles driving to, on and around campus.

Closer to move-in, permit holders will receive an email notification of any parking lot impacts from Parking Services.

Learn more about alternative commuting options for faculty and staff during move-in.

Fall Welcome

Students will participate in Fall Welcome events both in-person and virtually. Students will learn more about campus resources and support services, while making valuable connections with fellow Buffs, faculty and staff.

This year, we are offering a track specifically for second-year students! The Second-Year Experience will be a chance for students to reconnect with campus, meet fellow second-year Buffs and continue to build their community at 兔子先生传媒文化作品.

Parent and family engagement opportunities will also take place during this time. These opportunities will help welcome them to our CU community, and share resources and services to help with their student鈥檚 transition to 兔子先生传媒文化作品.

Volunteers needed

Volunteers are essential to the success of Fall Welcome and move-in. The volunteer support from our campus community ensures new students and families have a positive and welcoming experience.

There are a variety of volunteer shifts and roles to help support our new students and families. View and sign up for available volunteer shifts.

Off

Traditional

0

On

White
Wed, 14 Jul 2021 19:54:41 +0000 Anonymous 1313 at /studentaffairs Before you leave town: Tips and reminders /studentaffairs/2021/04/21/you-leave-town-tips-and-reminders Before you leave town: Tips and reminders Anonymous (not verified) Wed, 04/21/2021 - 10:04
Tags:

housing

With many students planning to leave campus at the end of the semester, here some tips and general reminders.

Preparing for move-out

Donate items you no longer need

As you get ready for move-out, you may have stuff you no longer need or want. Students are strongly encouraged to complete a COVID-19 monitoring test 48 to 72 hours before traveling. Those who are traveling should review and follow all airline and destination requirements for traveling, testing and quarantine.

Follow health and safety measures

Use precaution when traveling through places like airports, train stations and other commonly crowded areas to minimize risk. While it may not always be possible to maintain 6 feet of space between everyone, do your best to create additional space between yourself and other travelers. You can take additional precautions to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask and washing your hands or using sanitizer frequently while traveling.

For more domestic and international travel tips, visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention鈥檚 Travel Page.

Get a COVID-19 vaccine

If possible, get your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine before traveling.
