Apply for meal swipes
The Basic Needs Center, in collaboration with Campus Dining Services, collects meal swipes to distribute to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· students who are experiencing food insecurity.
Students experiencing high-need food insecurity should apply for assistance throughÌý. Applications are reviewed by the Basic Needs Center on a rolling basis.
ÌýÌýEligibility requirements:Ìý
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ·.
- Must not have donated swipes remaining from previous year.
- Must not currently have a campus meal plan.
ÌýÌýSelection processÌý
- Applicants are reviewed by the Basic Needs Center. Students will be asked to report their SAI from their completed 2024-2025 FAFSA. Where no EFC is available, other means of financial assessment, including application responses, will be taken into consideration.
- An applicant's level of food insecurity will be reviewed by the Basic Needs Center.
- Students will be selected to receive meal swipes based on their demonstrated level of need in the order of applications received.
ÌýÌýAllocation processÌý
- Students who are selected to receive meal swipes will receive 5-20 meal swipes. Meal swipes will be loaded directly onto the student's Buff OneCard and can be used at any ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· dining location.
- Allocated swipes must be used by May 7, 2025.
- If a student uses all their allocated swipes before the end of the semester, they may contact the Basic Needs Center for consideration for additional swipes.
