Richard L. Byyny, chancellor of the University of Colorado at Boulder, will deliver his annual address on the status of women at CU-Boulder next Thursday, Sept.2.
The address takes place at 3 p.m. in room 235 of the University Memorial Center, at the corner of Broadway and Euclid Avenue. Members of the public are invited to attend the address and the reception afterwards.
The event is being hosted by the chancellor, the university聮s Office of Diversity and Equity and the Chancellor聮s Committee on Women.
That 16-member committee is a representative group of faculty, staff and students who have prepared a report that provides baseline data and recommendations concerning the current status of women on campus.
The report formally documents the status of women at CU-Boulder, analyzes quantitative and qualitative data by gender and ethnicity, and notes trends regarding equity and diversity over the past 10 years.
The chancellor will address some of the trends and key issues contained in the report, after which he and committee members will take questions, comments and suggestions from the campus community.
