Engineering students at the University of Colorado Boulder will host the annual College Egg Drop on April 19 as part of their annual celebration of Engineering Days.
The egg drop, which starts at 1 p.m. on the west side of the Engineering Center, challenges students to create a contraption that will protect a raw egg when dropped from the eighth floor of the Engineering Center鈥檚 office tower.
The egg drop is one of several events planned for Engineering Days, a celebration of the engineering profession organized by the University of Colorado Engineering Council and various student honor societies.
Students also will build water bottle rockets, make potato batteries, and engage in other engineering-related activities during the four-day event from April 16 through April 19.
