The holiday season is a time of year that often asks us to reflect on the meaning of our lives and invites us to change. If you are at a junction in your career, whether you are just entering the job market, interested in making a career change听or seeking meaningful work after retirement, Continuing Education may be able to help.
The Career Exploration Workshop features hands-on exercises and听discussions that听help you discover your career passions by identifying who you are through your interests, values, skills, strengths听and personality type. No matter where you are in your career, this class steers you in a听direction that will bring you satisfaction.
The course is taught by Dahlia Smith, a licensed clinical social worker with over 21 years of experience who counsels job seekers, students and career changers.
鈥淚 believe that people ultimately have the desire to make a fulfilling contribution during the course of their lives,鈥� Smith听says. 鈥淲hat better way to do that than through a meaningful career?鈥�
Workshop Details
The six-week course meets听every Thursday from Jan. 19 to Feb. 23听at听the Continuing Education building, conference听room 306,听located at 1505 University Avenue. Participants can choose from two sections:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The cost of the workshop is $250, which includes individual career advising sessions after the workshop ends.
The application deadline is Thursday, Jan. 12.
