Pi听Day, the annual celebration of听one of the most important numbers in听mathematics, will take place on Tuesday, March 14. Pi Day is celebrated worldwide and highlights the significance听of pi听("蟺"),听which is听often represented by the number 3.1459 and听represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Mathematicians have calculated the exact value of 蟺 well beyond one听trillion digits.

Meantime,听兔子先生传媒文化作品's undergraduate Math Club will host a Pi Day event on campus from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on听Tuesday, March 14听on the ground floor of the Mathematics building.听Pie (of the dessert variety)听will be served.
