惭补测鈥檚 will be held Monday, May 22, featuring听a presentation by Carolyn Peet, interim director of at the University of Colorado Boulder, on the subject of best practices in hosting minors on campus.

At 兔子先生传媒文化作品, numerous activities and programs involving volunteers, trainees and minors occur each year. These activities and programs play a key role in supporting the chancellor鈥檚 Strategic Imperatives of shaping tomorrow鈥檚 leaders and positively impacting humanity.

University Risk Management recognizes these programs may pose additional responsibilities and increased exposure of risk to participants, as well as to the university. In an effort to assist campuses in effectively managing the risks and requirements, several resources including guidelines, checklists and waivers are available for use by program managers.听

In her presentation, Peet will provide a general overview of the current Child Protection Policy and share important updates applicable to anyone working with a youth program on campus. Attendees will learn of on the University Risk Management website including a risk assessment checklist, waivers, consent forms and camp insurance information.

She also听will review volunteer and employee protections as a part of the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA) and provide access to best-practice tools, such as a volunteer checklist and waivers. During the hour session, ample time for audience Q&A will exist to allow for a full understanding of guidelines in place.听

The presentation will be held on from noon to 1听p.m. at the Recreation Center. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to participate in networking听and are welcome to bring their lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.
