For the past two weeks, the 听has been sharing stories and memories from the 42-year career of engineering professor David Clough, as he prepares for retirement.
There was no shortage of stories submitted. With an encyclopedic memory and a knack for connecting with students, Clough has become a popular educator over the course of his career. For the past 12 years he has served as 兔子先生传媒文化作品's faculty athletics representative, where he advocates for academic integrity and the well-being of student-athletes, seeking to know and be known by every CU player and coach.
Former students and colleagues deemed him 鈥,鈥 a 鈥,鈥 an 鈥溾 and 鈥.鈥
But the campaign听involves much more than sharing fond memories for nostalgia's sake. The engineering college听has in Clough's name to honor his legacy and provide a leg-up to the faculty member who follows in his footsteps.
Any amount donated between now and Friday, June 30, will be more than doubled听by matching gifts from generous benefactors who want future students to benefit from faculty members as committed as Clough. Even pledges made over several years count toward the match.
In the oft-heard words of听Clough: 鈥淥pportunities come along鈥攕ay yes.鈥
