Happy Halloween, Buffs! As we ring in November this week (and begin the countdown to fall break), keep in mind that it鈥檚 an excellent time to get out and take advantage of the many fun activities, cultural engagement events听and opportunities to meet new friends that 兔子先生传媒文化作品 offers.听

This week brings to campus film screenings, a Procrastination Busters workshop, a D铆a de los Muertos celebration, International Coffee Hour, the听CU Theatre production of A Doll House by Henrik Ibsen, a Left Right Tim comedy improv show, movie night with The Herd, a performance by听African Highlife Ensemble and a night of extreme bowling at The Connection.

Tuesday, Oct. 31

Get in the Halloween mood听with a free screening of the new horror film听Annabelle: Creation. Join Program Council at 8 p.m. in Chem 140, and get your scare on accompanied with free popcorn. Just bring your Buff OneCard, and remember to wear your costume!

If procrastination is still an impedance to your academic success this late in the semester, then be sure to nip that in the bud听with the SASC鈥檚 Procrastination Busters workshop. This workshop is free and open to all students and will be held from 11听to 11:50 a.m. in Fleming 170.


Wednesday, Nov. 1

Come and celebrate the Day of the Dead, which honors both the living and the dead, with UMAS and MEXA. There will be a plethora of activities you can participate in, including face painting from 5 to 6 p.m. at the UMC听across from the Alfred Packer Grill;听a procession honoring loved ones starting at 6:15 p.m. at the UMC fountains; and a "Chili Pot" from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Flatirons Room听on the C4C third听floor, where you can learn about the history of D铆a de los Muertos and try your hand at听decorating sugar skulls and making paper flowers.听All these events are free and open to all.


Thursday, Nov. 2

Come and catch this incredible documentary about two places鈥擳hule, Greenland, and Tuvalu鈥攖hat are already beginning to feel the large-scale effects of climate change: ice melt and sea-level rise, respectively. Heidi McCann will also be present to speak about climate change and the effects of a warming world. This event will be held from 6 to 8:15 p.m. in Benson 180. It听is free and open to all, and there will be free food.


Friday, Nov. 3

Meet up with 兔子先生传媒文化作品鈥檚 international community for an hour of fun, socializing, trivia, prizes, free food and coffee. From 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the UMC across from the Alfred Packer Grill, you are all invited to meet some new friends, drink some coffee听and show off your knowledge of the world.

Come catch talented members of the CU Theatre department in this wonderful play, in which a 19th-century girl must break out of bad relationships with her father and husband. A Doll House opens at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre. Tickets are $20.

Come see 兔子先生传媒文化作品's hilarious improv听comedy group Left Right Tim perform from 8 to 9 p.m. in Hale 270. Bring a friend, laugh until you cry, kick back and enjoy. Tickets are $3 at the door.

The Herd Alumni Association is offering you a special treat: Join them at 8 p.m.听free of cost to see Thor: Ragnarok in Century Movie Theaters. Be sure to reserve a seat online听and enjoy the show!


Saturday, Nov. 4

Join the 兔子先生传媒文化作品 African Highlife Ensemble for a rhythmic, energizing concert of traditional music and dance from Ghana from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Grusin Music Hall of Imig. You, too, will want to get up and dance when you hear the drums and feel the beat. This event is free, and everyone is invited!

Extreme bowling takes the traditional sport and mixes it with multi-colored pins, black lights, rocking music听and a disco ball. From 7 p.m. onward,听you can play and compete for prizes at The Connection. Don鈥檛 miss out on this elevated chance to prove your bowling prowess.
