Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Sustainability David Kang first announced the strategic facilities visioning endeavor last year. The initial search for a consultant to help facilitate the process paused briefly as the campus has been engaging in the Academic Futures discussions. The facilities visioning initiative will begin taking shape in earnest as AECOM Strategy Plus comes on board this summer.

Campus Architect and Director of Planning and Design Bill Haverly is leading the effort. An executive committee will be established to guide this effort across the campus as the initiative moves forward.

More details will emerge in the coming months about the process the executive committee, PD&C and AECOM Strategy Plus will undertake. A major piece of the effort, though, will entail engaging 兔子先生传媒文化作品 colleges and schools, auxiliaries and support organizations to get a sense of their individual visions for their programs as they move forward over the next 10 to 30 years. From there, that information will help drive a facilities planning process that supports those visions.

鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 be more excited for the strategic facilities visioning efforts to be ramping up,鈥 Kang said. 鈥淔acilities play a vital role in the ability of everyone across campus鈥攕tudents, faculty and staff鈥攖o achieve 兔子先生传媒文化作品鈥檚 strategic imperatives of shaping tomorrow鈥檚 leaders, being the top university for innovation and positively impacting humanity.

鈥淭his integrated, campuswide approach to assessing campus needs will be an integral first step toward establishing a plan for campus facilities that helps us address the pressing needs of the present in a way that aligns with the needs of tomorrow.鈥
