Can I earn credit?

Yes! Plan early and speak with your academic advisor to see how study abroad can fit into your degree plan. Earn credit toward听your major, minor, general education requirements or electives to stay on track for graduation.

What year should I go abroad?

You are eligible to study abroad anytime after your first year at CU. Junior year is the most common time to go abroad, but other students decide to go sophomore year, senior year, or during the summer. Speak to your academic advisor to determine the best time for you.

How long can I study abroad for?

Most students choose to study abroad for a semester. Others choose to go abroad during the summer on programs ranging from 2-12 weeks in length. Some students even choose to stay for a year, or to study abroad multiple times.

How much does it cost?听

Your first step is to talk with your academic advisor to see how study abroad will fit into your graduation plan. Next, you can visit our website () and complete a 30-minute intro course on Canvas to get an overview of the process. You can also.听

Finally, with our advisors to discuss your situation and help you to find the best program. We are open for remote advising Monday鈥揊riday 9听a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Deadlines are early in the term prior to the one you want to go abroad, but it鈥檚 always good to apply early.听 We look forward to working with you.
