Held at the Center for British and Irish Studies, the annual Fall Convocation and Awards Ceremony on Oct. 13 celebrated the remarkable achievements of 122 faculty members at 兔子先生传媒文化作品. The event recognized their outstanding contributions in the domains of teaching, scholarship, leadership and service. Notably, the ceremony highlighted the distinguished faculty who had recently attained tenure or promotion, as well as those who received the prestigious Provost鈥檚 Achievement Award.

Vice Provost Michele Moses and the Office of Faculty Affairs hosted this annual awards ceremony, in coordination with Chancellor Philip DiStefano and Provost Russell Moore, who opened the event with welcoming remarks, highlighting the global impact and importance of 兔子先生传媒文化作品 faculty in fostering student success and academic excellence.

Provost鈥檚 Faculty Achievement Awards

Pre-tenure faculty

  • Tanya Alderete, Integrative Physiology, for her research article demonstrating the health effects of environmental toxicants such as air pollution on the human gut microbiome
  • Kyri Baker, Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering, for her article titled 鈥淓mulating AC OPF Solvers with Neural Networks鈥.
  • Benjamin Shear, Education, for his publication titled 鈥淐ausal Inference and COVID: Contrasting Methods for Evaluating Pandemic Impacts Using State Assessments鈥
  • Rui Zhang, Business, for his article, 鈥淚nfluence Maximization with Latency Requirements on Social Networks鈥

Post-tenure faculty

  • Taylor Barton, Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering, for her series of papers in the area of radio frequency (RF) and microwave active circuit design
  • Nicole Lovenduski, Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences, for her set of papers published from 2007 to 2019 that focus on how the Southern Oceans absorb CO2
  • Samira Mehta, Women & Gender Studies, for her body of work in the areas of Jewish American culture, race and sexuality since World War II, with a focus on interfaith and mixed-race families
