Volunteer for commencement events May 8–10

Join your colleagues in celebrating the graduating class of 2025 by volunteering to help students and their families and guests during commencement events.ÌýCommencement volunteers are critical to ensuring this campus tradition is enjoyable, celebratory and smooth for everyone who will be visiting campus.

Volunteer shifts are available for the following roles between Thursday, May 8, and Saturday, May 10.

Accessibility ambassador

Accessibility ambassadors will support our guests needing mobility assistance by providing transport via wheelchairs between drop-off locations to seating locations. A variety of shifts are available for the university commencement ceremony at Folsom Field and recognition ceremonies at the CU Events Center.

Volunteer for Grad Bash May 1

Come out to help celebrate the Class of 2025 ahead of commencement atÌýGrad Bash onÌýThursday, May 1. We are looking for lots of volunteers to help with setup, event support and teardown at this end-of-semester event for students. It will be a fun, celebratory environment and a way to show your support for this class of graduates.Ìý

Commencement procession breakfast support

Breakfast volunteers will help set up, serve and celebrate with seniors for the Senior Class Council commencement procession breakfast. After the graduating class begins processing, this group of volunteers will also help with the take-down portion of the event.Ìý

Golf cart driver

As a golf cart volunteer, you will pick up and drive ceremony guests and students who seem lost on campus or who need assistance in moving from one location to another.Ìý

Volunteers must acknowledge that they have reviewed or taken CU’s Motorized Off-Road Vehicles (Golf Cart Safety) training prior to the beginning of the volunteer shift. There will be a quick training before volunteers depart for the day that will further explain routes and pick-up/drop-off locations.

Recognition ceremony host

The role of the recognition ceremony host is to serve as a representative of the Commencement Committee at various campus venues in support of the recognition ceremony planners. Think of yourself as the event venue manager or host for your shift. You can even select a shift based on the college, school or department hosting the event, if you have a special connection.Ìý

Volunteer marshal

OurÌývolunteer marshals are an integral part of the university commencement ceremony, ensuring our graduating students and their families and guests have a positive experience at Folsom Field. Marshals wear regalia and a marshal stole to identify themselves as someone who can be of assistance.ÌýSign-up is requested by March 24 and includes an opportunity to reserve rental regalia for use during your shift.
