City invites student, faculty, staff participation in Community Assembly

The city of Boulder is encouraging student, faculty and staff participation in itsÌý, inviting applications to take part in the Community Assembly.Ìý

Those who commute to Boulder for work or school are eligible to apply, as are those who live in Boulder who received a yellow envelope from the city or county in the mail.

The assembly will bring together 48 randomly selected participants to learn about a specific topic from experts, discuss benefits and trade-offs and make recommendations to policymakers.ÌýÌý

  • The topic:Ìý15-minute neighborhoods—places where daily needs can be met within a short walk, roll or bike ride.
  • The commitment: Seven full-day Saturday sessions between May and October 2025 with a break for summer.
  • The incentive: $1,000 stipend, meals, childcare and interpretation services.Ìý
