CU Athletics to tap into fans’ help for water conservation, restoration

Spectators at home basketball games will be prompted to text a pledge to conserve water a s part of CU-Boulder's new Water for the West campaign. For every pledge received, CU Athletics will restore 1,000 gallons of water to the Colorado River Basin through a partnership with the Change the Course initiative.

On Jan. 26, the CU Advocates program and the University of Colorado’s Office of Government Relations hosted the 2016 CU Advocacy Day at the State Capitol. Attendees received updates on the university’s recent educational, research and economic contributions. Lawmakers and CU officials also briefed advocates on CU’s legislative priorities, higher education’s funding outlook for this year and Colorado’s budget situation.
