- For the eighth year in a row, the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· triathlon team won the overall team title at the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships on April 22 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
- Out of 102 teams, University of Colorado Army ROTC placed first in the Team ROTC Heavy division at the annual Bataan Memorial Death March, a challenging marathon race through high-desert terrain.
- The 9-0, nationally-ranked lacrosse program at CU is the result of a team that has grown up together, learned together and taken to heart the wisdom of head coach Ann Elliot, who started the program from scratch in 2012.
- Let’s be clear: 2016 was spectacular for Buffs football. Besides winning lots of games, the Buffs won a division title, played in a conference final and, for the first time since 2007, appeared in a bowl.
- Ralphie IV, the university's beloved live buffalo mascot who roamed the sidelines for 10-plus seasons (1998–2008), passed away Sunday morning at the age of 19. Ralphie IV's successor, Ralphie V, is very much in good health and is running strong.
