To help us connect with our new students this summer��we host a series of summer sessions where you can connect and interact virtually (through zoom) with your advisor or other student success staff in the College of Engineering. Below you'll see information about all the opportunities for��support available to you this��summer:��

Welcome to Engineering Academic Advising!

These��interactive, Zoom group��sessions are only open to students in the College of Engineering & Applied Science.��Join to learn more about how to connect with your Academic Advisor, what steps are important for new students this summer, and answer questions you have about getting started in your major and at ����������ý�Ļ���Ʒ. Sessions are limited to 25 students, be sure to register using your ����������ý�Ļ���Ʒ Identikey Zoom account!��The content repeats every workshop, it is not a series, you do not need to attend every workshop. These are optional opportunities to connect with us and ask questions, you are not required to attend.��

Engineering Exploration Workshops:��

Thinking about how to explore your interests at CU or wondering what your next steps are for getting ready for class registration? Join our Engineering Exploration Workshops! In an interactive��zoom workshop we’ll suggest ways to get the most out of your first semester, answer questions about next steps, and will help you develop questions for your academic advisor when you meet with them later in June. You’ll also get to meet a few other new students you can connect with once you’re on campus! These are optional opportunities to connect with us and ask questions, you are not required to attend.��

Major Specific Group Advising in June & July:

In June & July your department will host Group Advising Sessions. Attending one of these workshops is important; your advisor will share information about your recommended class schedule and how to best explore your interests using the resources in your new department. You should plan on attending Group Advising before attending drop-in advising, connecting with your advisor individually, or making an individual appointment with your advisor. You advisor might require that you attend a group advising session! During the session they��will share instructions and recommendations for settings up an individual appointment with them if needed.��

Enrollment Essentials:��

Join our Engineering Peer Advisors for these interactive zoom sessions,��designed to prepare you for your enrollment window in July or August. In small groups over zoom we will help you build your schedule using our enrollment tools, review transfer credits and courses you may be pre-enrolled in, and answer any last- minute questions you have about classes or registration. These are optional opportunities to connect with us and ask questions, you are not required to attend.��

How to: Enrollment Windows

Join our Engineering Peer Advisors for a micro-workshop on what to expect during your Enrollment Window��and how to best prepare for a successful registration process. This will be a 20-minute session and an additional 10 minutes for questions at the end. All are welcome! Attend as many sessions as needed. Registration required.

How to: Class Search

Join our Engineering Peer Advisors for a micro-workshop on how to use the Class Search, how to put classes in your shopping cart, and how to find applicable Humanities & Social Science courses for Engineering degree requirements. This will be a 30-minute session and an additional 15 minutes for questions at the end. All are welcome!��Attend as many sessions as needed. Registration required.

How to: Choose a Math Class

Join our Engineering Peer Advisors for a micro-workshop on how to choose the best math class for you based on your placement exam score and/or any AP, IB, dual enrollment, or transfer credit you may have. This will be a 20-minute session and an additional 10 minutes for questions at the end. All are welcome!��Attend as many sessions as needed. Registration required.

How to: Degree Audit & Transfer Credits

Join our Engineering Peer Advisors for a micro-workshop on how to run and read your Degree Audit, how your AP, IB, dual enrollment, or transfer credits come in to CU, and how they may apply to your degree. This will be a 30-minute session and an additional 15 minutes for questions at the end. All are welcome!��Attend as many sessions as needed. Registration required.

Registration Help Room:

Need help the morning of your registration window? A virtual help room is open between 8:30am-10am every Monday and Thursday between July 20th-August 8th to assist with last-minute registration questions or issues that might come up. If you have an urgent question that morning we recommend you join this help room rather than email your advisor and wait for a response.����
