Our People
The Center for Leadership values collaboration and insight for all of our campus and community partners. We have created a three-pronged approach of governance for the operations of the Center.Â
Board of Advisors
The members of the Advisory Board provide advice regarding overall direction and vision for the Center – from the perspective of community members and leaders in industry – and assist the Center to define, develop, and achieve its mission and to help facilitate the Center’s relationships with external stakeholders. The Board contributes to the Center through its knowledge, experience, and demonstrated leadership by providing advice and guidance to the Executive Director and Executive Committee. The members of the Advisory Board have no governance responsibility or appointing authority for personnel matters. The Board meets quarterly, but can meet more frequently if necessary.Â
Executive Committee
Executive Committee members are predominantly ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· faculty or staff associated with leadership programs on campus. The Executive Committee will advise the Center’s Executive Director and academic/research director, promoting interest and advancing the projects and programs of the Center as it pursues its mission. The Committee is responsible for suggesting programs and activities for the Center, reviewing and providing comment on proposals brought to the committee by the executive director or academic research director, helping to publicize Center events, and serving as a conduit between the Center and the rest of the University. The Executive Committee may establish standing and/or ad hoc committees to help it assist the Center in carrying out its mission.Â
Staff
The Center for Leadership's staff will manage the day-to-day operations, research initiatives, and multi-disciplinary programming. The staff is bifurcated between the operational directorate and the reserach directorate. Although two vastly different types of work within the Center, the various branches of staff work in tandem to provide world-class opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members alike.
