Engineering Management Dual Degree Program

A student who is enrolled in the Professional MS degree in mechanical engineering and wishes to also obtain the Master鈥檚 of Engineering in Engineering Management degree must apply internally to the Engineering Management Program and be admitted into that program as well. In total, graduate students in the dual degree program must complete a total of 45 credit hours of coursework at the 5000 level or above. Students must count 21 of those credit hours toward the Engineering Management Program (EMP). In addition, students must count 24 credits hours toward the Mechanical Engineering graduate program; 18 of those credits must be taken from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and six of those credits can be taken in other graduate programs at the University of CO Boulder.

Requirements

The dual degree consists of 45 total credit hours:

  • 24 credit hours from the Mechanical Engineering Program
    • Up to six of these credits can be taken outside of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
