Buff Pantry

The Buff Pantry, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ·'s on-campus food pantry, is here to support all undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing food insecurity.

Clients are welcome to visit the Buff Pantry one time per week and select grocery items of their choosing. The Buff Pantry provides fresh produce; shelf-stable, refrigerated and frozen food; and personal care items at no cost to students. Food and personal care item selection will vary based on availability, donations and time of year.

The Buff Pantry is located in the University Memorial Center (UMC) basement 1B73, near the lower level of the CU Book Store and can be contacted via phone at: 303-735-9863.

  • Tuesdays: 12-2:30 p.m.; 3–5 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Donate your reusable grocery bags to the Buff Pantry

The Basic Needs Center is collecting reusable bag donations to provide to students utilizing the Buff Pantry. Donations can be dropped off at the Buff Pantry during regular hours of operation.

Support the Basic Needs Center by donating food and personal care items to the Buff Pantry. The Buff Pantry accepts shelf stable items that have at least a three-month window to expiration.

How do I visit the Buff Pantry?

Step 1

Select the ‘Join’ button on the  and complete the Buff Pantry . This form must be completed one time per academic year.

  • Appointments will not be visible until you have submitted the client intake form.
Step 2

Sign up for an appointment(s) to visit the Buff Pantry under the ‘Events’ section. In order to access the appointment sign-up, you must first complete the Buff Pantry client intake form.

  • Students are welcome to visit the Buff Pantry one time per week, if needed.
  • We ask that you visit the Buff Pantry during the hour time slot associated with your appointment to assist with line management.
Step 3

On the date(s) and time(s) selected, stop by the Buff Pantry.

  • Bring your Buff OneCard.
  • Bring several reusable bags.

The Buff Pantry will provide up to two, reusable grocery bags per visitor each academic year. Students utilizing the Buff Pantry are responsible for bringing their Buff Pantry-provided reusable bag(s) to each appointment. Additional bags will not be provided.

Step 4

When you arrive, a Buff Pantry volunteer will welcome you and provide an overview of the shopping process. You will then be able to select items based on your preferences.

  • Be prepared to wait for a few minutes as we serve other clients.
