Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS)

Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC)

OIEC implements and enforces three university policies: Discrimination and Harassment; Sexual Misconduct, Intimate Partner Abuse and Stalking and Conflict of Interest in Cases of Amorous Relationships. ýĻƷ their website for information regarding mandatory reporting. Office of Victim Assistance (OVA)

OVA provides confidential trauma response and prevention services, including advocacy, counseling and consultation to students, staff and faculty who have experienced trauma, protected class discriminationor are the victim of a crime. OVA can be contacted at 303-492-8855 orassist@colorado.edu.


Retroactive Withdrawals

For information about how to submit a petition to be fully withdrawn from a previous semester, or multiple semesters, after experiencing unforeseen extenuating circumstances, visit the retroactive withdrawal website orcontactretrow@colorado.edu.


Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution

Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (SCCR) investigates alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct and Honor Code. SCCR also provides support to students, staff and faculty with conflict resolution and restorative justice. SCCR can be contacted at 303-492-5550 orstudentconduct@colorado.edu.


Tuition Disputes

Tuition disputes are available only to students who had to withdraw for the semester or term due to one or more of the extenuating circumstances outlined here. Student Support Emergency Fund

Need financial assistance? The Student Support Emergency Fund (SSEF) is a stipend that can assist students during unanticipated events that might cause the student to pause or stop their educational goals.Eligible students must be experiencing emergency circumstances, unanticipated circumstances or have a clear financial need for the stipend. Every situation is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Student Support & Case Management is not an emergency service.
The case manager and SSCM play a secondary role in emergency situations and should only be contacted after contacting emergency response personnel.

Student Support & Case Management is a non-confidential service. If you disclose that you or someone else has been impacted by sexual misconduct, protected-class discrimination or harassment, intimate partner violence, stalkingor related retaliation, we are required to share that information to the CU Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) for outreach regarding support and reporting options. You are not required to respond to OIEC. If you are in need of support, OIEC provides a list of resources, including confidential assistance. If you have questions before you want to submit this type of information, please contact the confidential Office of Victim Assistance (OVA).

Additionally, please note that the university takes disclosures around threat of harm to self or others seriously and when information of this nature is received, it will be shared with the appropriate offices to offer additional support and resources.
