PLC Mentoring Programs

PLC has three mentoring programs for students to explore as they navigate their journey in PLC and 兔子先生传媒文化作品: PLC2, where first-year students are paired with upperclassmen PLCers, the Alumni Mentor Program, which pairs current PLCers with PLC alumni, and the Boulder-CU Leadership Program, which pairs CU students with local Boulder community members. Many benefits such as academic/professional advice, professional networking, increased confidence, exposure to professional settings, and the receiving of steadfast encouragement have been reported from students who have made connections through these mentorship programs.

PLC Mentor Programs

  • PLC Peer Leadership Connection - PLC2
    • First-Year PLC students are required to have a PLC peer mentor.
    • Students are carefully matched to upperclassmen PLCers by the Mentor Program Coordinators
    • Upperclassmen (second, third, and fourth-year PLC students) are encouraged to be peer mentors in the PLC2 program

"A PLC2 Mentor is another PLCer who serves as a resource, a helping hand, a sounding board, and possibly a referral source. PLC peer mentors provide support, encouragement, and connection to those who are just beginning their PLC and CU journey."

  • PLC Alumni Match Program (PLC AMP)
    • Current PLCers are matched with alumni who will provide insight, advice, direction, and connections in chosen industries.
  • Boulder-CU Leadership Program (BCLP)
    • BCLP is a mentorship connection organized by the Center for Leadership in collaboration with the Downtown Boulder Partnership and the Boulder Chamber. The BCLP exists to connect CU students invested in their own leadership development with leaders in the local Boulder community.
