State of the Campus to offer insight into Flagship 2030's progress

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 8 a.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom, Chancellor DiStefano will offer his eighth State of the Campus address to faculty, staff, students and the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· community. The Chancellor will address the evolution of the campus’ Flagship 2030 vision and strategy and how that relates to his top three priorities. He will also discuss key successes and challenges the campus faces.

You Asked. We Listened. The University Libraries would like to thank the hundreds of students and faculty who filled out our recent user survey. We’d like to share what we learned. We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.

On her way to class, amid a crowd of other students, Zurisadai Juarez-Delgado felt alone. She believed her experiences were so different from most other students that she became withdrawn, thinking no one could possibly relate to her. But Juarez-Delgado found a place where she could feel at home on campus, the inclusive community of the Education Diversity Scholars program at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ·. As a result, she has discovered a career path that is changing the trajectory of her life.

Including remarks by President Obama, the event honored organizations around the country that are taking on new actions to tackle climate change through sports.
