The Colorado Buffaloes found themselves ranked in the nation's top 25 on Sunday, the first time the Buffs have cracked the top 25 since early November 2005.

Nearly 200 companies will be on campus seeking University of Colorado Boulder students and alumni for full-time and internship positions during the annual Fall Career Fair in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jim Voss, scholar in residence in the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences and retired NASA astronaut, has won the 2016 Haley Space Flight Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It recognizes outstanding contributions to human space flight.

Described by colleagues as a 鈥渧ery sharp, talented young criminologist,鈥 David Pyrooz is making significant contributions to the study of criminal gang culture, and is one of the few who鈥檚 looking at what happens when you get out of a gang. His research focus is earning him kudos and expanding society's understanding of gang populations.

Two undergrads score prestigious astronaut scholarship

Matthew Winchester and Matthew Hurst are among a handful of national scholarship recipients selected for 2016 by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. Typically, the organization choses only one winner per university, but in 兔子先生传媒文化作品's case, ASF has chosen two per year since 2015, according to the campus Top Scholarships office.

Why this environmentalist won a coveted prize for social policy

Elizabeth Koebele, a doctoral candidate in the Environmental Studies Program, was one of only 19 award winners from 535 applications for the Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy grant. The environmentalist rubs elbows with ranchers and fly fishing companies, for example, adding a very social component to her research.

Fall 2016 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Alerts test is Oct. 5

The campus will conduct a test of the 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Alerts system on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at noon to raise awareness of how the campus community will be notified in case of a campus emergency. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.
