Churchill Scholarship
(Math, Science, and Engineering only)
The Churchill foundation seeks students of exceptional academic promise in a math, science, or engineering field to study at Churchill College, Cambridge University. They expect students to make new and creative contributions to their fields. Scholars will  undertake one year of study, for an MPhil or MASt degree. See the website for eligible programs of study.Â
- Campus deadline: August 15 + application to Cambridge by early October
- Final deadline:Â Early November each year
- °Õ±ð°ù³¾:ÌýOne year.
- Amount of support: The award covers tuition, roundtrip airfare to the UK, visa fees and health surcharge, and a stipend that is set 5% higher than the UK Research Council standard. Recipients are eligible to apply for a $4,000 special research grant. The total value is around $75,000.
- Number of scholarships:Â up to 18 annually.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens
- Applicants must be seniors or recent graduates (within 12 months)
- Applicants must be nominated by their university
- while there is no minimum GPA, scholars tend to have very high GPAs
Application Process
The application is online. There will be a competitive selection process to choose CU’s two candidates and you must meet the campus deadline. The application includes two short essays. This application requires four letters of recommendation.
